How Our Kamado Grills Are Crafted: From Raw Clay To Finished Barbecue
Behind every durable, high‑performance kamado grill lies strict manufacturing workflows, premium raw materials and professional production equipment. Every ceramic kamado we produce goes through rigorous multi‑step craftsmanship, delivering heat‑retaining, long‑lasting grills for backyard cooking enthusiasts.

Our Production Scope
Our factory supports multiple business modes to meet diverse buyer demands:
- Standard Kamado Series: Mass‑produced classic size kamado grills (18”,19”,21”,24”) ready for fast shipment
- Customized Kamado: Custom sizes, colors, hardware accessories for your brand
- Customized Ceramic Product: OEM & ODM service for special ceramic barbecue components

Full Kamado Grill Production Process
Every ceramic body follows this complete manufacturing pipeline:
Step 1: Material Preparation
We select high‑grade special clay raw materials, the foundation for excellent thermal‑shock resistance. The clay formula directly determines the ceramic shell’s heat retention, crack‑resistance and service life of your kamado grill.
Step 2: Firming
Raw clay is processed and compacted to remove air bubbles, creating stable raw clay blanks. This step avoids cracks in later high‑temperature firing.
Step 3: Clay Embryo Forming
Using mechanized forming machines, clay is shaped into kamado shell embryo. This precise forming guarantees uniform wall thickness for consistent heat performance across every grill.

Step 4: Drying
Fresh clay embryos go through controlled drying procedures to slowly release internal moisture. Fast drying will cause cracking, so this low‑speed drying phase is critical for product quality.
Step 5: Bisque Firing
Dry clay embryos enter the tunnel kiln for bisque firing at high temperature. This first firing hardens the clay embryo into firm biscuit ceramic bodies, ready for glazing.

Step 6: First‑Round QC Inspection
After bisque firing, workers perform quality control. We filter out cracked, deformed ceramic bodies, only qualified pieces move to next glazing procedure.
Step 7: Glazing
Ceramic bodies receive surface glaze coating via automatic glazing line. The glaze creates the colorful textured outer surface, also provides waterproof, stain‑resistant property for your kamado grill.

Step 8: Glaze Firing
Glazed shells go back to tunnel kiln for glaze firing. Extreme high temperature melts glaze, fusing it firmly onto ceramic shell to get the final glossy textured outer finish.
Step 9: Second‑Round QC Inspection
Finished ceramic shells get full visual and physical inspection. Defective items are eliminated strictly before assembly.
Step 10: Assembly
Qualified ceramic shells are assembled with cast‑iron vents, 304 stainless steel cooking grids, metal cart frames, bamboo side tables, thermometers and all accessory parts to become complete kamado barbecue units.

Step 11: Final QC
100% final quality check for full assembled grills: check vent function, thermometer accuracy, wheel mobility, surface finish and all fitting parts.
Step 12: Packaging
Perfect‑condition kamado grills are packed with heavy‑duty carton packaging to prevent damage in long‑distance ocean transportation.
Step 13: Warehouse & Loading
Packed goods move to warehouse storage. When order arrives, products are loaded into containers for global shipment.

Advanced Production Equipment Support
Consistent high‑quality output relies on our complete set of industrial‑grade machines:
- CNC bending machine: Precision metal frame & cart component bending
- Auto glazing line: Uniform automatic glaze spraying for stable surface quality
- Mechanized forming machine: Standardized clay embryo shaping
- Laser cutting machine: Precise cut for stainless‑steel cooking grids & metal parts
- Tunnel kiln: Stable large‑scale high‑temperature firing for ceramic shells
- CNC punching machine: Punch & form metal hardware accessories
All equipment enables us to handle both large‑volume standard orders and custom OEM/ODM projects efficiently.
Why Our Manufacturing Makes Difference For You
- Two‑time high‑temperature firing: Bisque firing + glaze firing delivers strong ceramic shells, anti‑crack under high‑low temperature cycling for grilling & smoking.
- Multi‑stage QC: Quality checks inserted through every production phase, not only final inspection, greatly reduce defective rate.
- Full‑chain in‑house production: From clay raw material to assembled finished grill, most processes are completed inside our factory, easier to control lead‑time and custom requirements.
- Flexible service: Buy standard ready‑to‑ship kamado series, or send your requirements for custom kamado grills and custom ceramic items.
